I am Karriena an abstract and mixed media artist based in California. I paint to give myself space to reflect intuitively and with purpose. My work is drawn from my life experiences, and I am constantly exploring what it means to find meaning and purpose in our life’s journey. My methodical yet intuitive approach to layering gives each piece depth and character. I love working with different textures and seeing how they build together to create unique compositions — almost as a metaphor for how we build the different layers of our lives to form unique perspectives. A reminder that we are all on our own path, shaped by our personal experiences.
